Ride and glide!

Helmets are a must, let鈥檚 just set that in stone. But that does not mean that they need to be bulky and boring-looking! Motorcycles and style have always gone hand-in-hand.
If you are a rider who appreciates vintage, then this type of helmet is the right fit for you. Leather helmets are classy, do not look bulky and are definitely on the cool side of 2 wheeler style.
A little history
In the early 1900s, motorcycles were nothing more but motorized bicycles. As the speed of these vehicles did not demand much head protection, people used padded leather caps that were remarkably similar to football caps. Motorcycle riders at that time put a lot of effort into their looks when on the bike. So, back at the beginning of the 20th century, it was not uncommon to see motorcycle riders with an iconic skullcap and googles.
Now, in modern times, the appreciation for the vintage has encouraged people to go back to wearing leather helmets.
If you are considering getting a leather helmet, there are two types of helmets:
- Black/Brown leather covered helmets.
- Novelty leather helmets that are 100% made of black/brown leather.
The big question– How to care for your leather helmet?
- Remove any stains from the helmet before washing it.
- Use warm soapy water mixed with a gentle cleanser like baby shampoo and rub the leather with a soft cloth to produce lather.
- Wipe away excess lather with a clean cloth.
- Rinse the helmet thoroughly either by running through warm water or wiping several times with a damp cloth.
- Allow your leather helmet to dry.
Moving towards a little exciting segment now, we would like to point out ten of the most important things a rider (you) will need to make your riding journey simpler and fun-
- A helmet– obviously!
- Eye protection– like goggles or sunglasses. Getting fragments of dust or any other kind of debris in your eyes can cause discomfort and itchiness while riding. They also protect you from sunlight and bugs.
- Jackets and gloves– now these can fall on the expensive side, but they provide protection to our skin from tanning, sun burns and they have been proven to reduce damages during crashes.
- Motorcycle boots
- Knee guards
- Crash protection accessories– like crash bobbins, frame sliders, handguards, crash bars, or skid-plates.
- Multi Tool kit
- Ear protection– When riding a motorcycle, you are exposed to a variety of noises of the wind, road, or engine noise. These noises can damage your hearing over the long term. Therefore it is important to protect your ears. Earplugs are very effective the noise around you and bring it down to a bearable volume. Earplugs are comfortable, easy to wear and insert and are designed to cut the decibels down, without completely eliminating the sounds you want to hear like horns. You can choose between disposable or reusable ear plugs.
Follow our guide and you will be set to go! We wish you a safe and happy riding experience.
